The 2017 Standard Bank Ovation Award winning power duet that explores and questions the issues around patriarchy, ideas fostered by culture, religion, tradition on the subject of black male identity. This duet was also inspired by a number of personalities and characters whose ways of life continue to shape and redefine ideas around black male identity particularly in KwaZulu Natal. These include the likes of Qhubinja, Mzimb’okhal’imali, Tshath’ugodo and many other black male figures whose lifestyles and ideas around ‘manhood and masculinity’ have influenced debates and discussions of many kinds.
