Age Recommendation:

Thirst can be seen as a metaphor for life, a simple but effective plot by Nobel prize-winning playwright, Eugene O’Neil. The story is set a century ago and depicts three characters stranded on a raft with great focus on survival and the apparent lack of water – something all Capetonians can relate to.

We celebrate the up-and-coming 130th Birthday of Eugene O’Neill in 2018. Thirst is said to be his first play and was his response to the tragedy of the Titanic.
